SIMBA 23.05

Welcome to SIMBA 23.05! We are thrilled to announce the release of SIMBA version 23.05. This update includes several exciting new features and improvements to enhance your simulation experience. If you haven’t yet, be sure to download it.

We hope you enjoy these new updates and improvements in SIMBA 23.05. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Improved FFT

The FFT functionality within the results tab has undergone a complete redevelopment. The settings interface has been restructured to provide increased clarity and introduce new configuration alternatives. The FFT algorithm has been refined for improved accuracy and efficiency, now computing solely the chosen frequencies utilizing an advanced DFT method. Moreover, the FFT chart presents data with visually appealing vertical bars.

Import simulation results

Users can now import waveforms into the Results tab from measurements or other software using the "Import from CSV" feature. This simple but highly requested capability streamlines the validation and comparison processes.

Import Thermal Description file support (*.xml)

We have updated our thermal description file import function to support the latest revision of this standard. We now support "constants" and have the ability to define conduction losses as a function of gate state for MOSFETs with diodes.

New and improved Synchronous motor models

We have completely recoded the PMSM model and added the SynRM motor model. These models support saturation and do not force any additional iteration in the Newton loop, which makes the simulation faster.

New models

Various new models are added in 23.05:

Quality of life

In 23.05, we have made many bug fixes and improvements to the software to ensure a seamless and enjoyable user experience.. The complete list of changes is available here.
